Your financial obligation is to be responsible for the payment of all co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles AT THE TIME of check-in. It is your responsibility to pay for all services not covered by your insurance.  If a balance is incurred, you will be notified and prompt payment is expected through the online patient portal or at the kiosk in the office. In the event you do not meet your financial obligation, your account will be sent to collections.

Yes! You will be able to consent to acknowledge your Privacy Rights and Consent to Treat on the kiosk. These forms are available in both English and Spanish. Reading these forms may be the most cumbersome part of your check-in process but you will only need to agree once every 12 months.

Parents will need to provide written consent to the clinic authorizing another family member bringing in and consenting to treatment to care for their child.

Yes! No food/drink beyond the waiting room, parents must supervise their children at all times (and will be held responsible), no running, do not feed or touch the fish, diapers are to be changed in the restroom only.

The safety of our patients and staff is important to us! We want to be sure no once is directly placed in harm's way. The clinic will be closed in the event of inclement weather. If you have a scheduled appointment, we will text you and inform you that your appointment has been canceled and will make every effort to reschedule for your convenience.

Although our electronic medical records system directly communicates with many labs in El Paso, we would like for you to check with our insurance to see which lab is preferred.

We understand that circumstances come up, sometimes unexpectedly. Please provide the courtesy of contacting the main office number by texting if you are within 4 hours or less of your appointment. In the event that you may need to cancel your scheduled appointment, we will assist you in rescheduling for a day and time that will be more convenient for you. If there are more than 3 no shows in a 12 month period, YOU WILL BE DISCHARGED FROM THE CLINIC.

You may pay your financial obligations with a credit card that is securely processed through the kiosk or cash. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

If your medical concern requires urgent or emergent medical attention, we strongly recommend that you go to the nearest Urgent Care or Emergency Room. If it is non-emergent, you can TEXT the main office number at 915-255-0905 and Dr. Howze will reach back out to you.

We strongly believe in education and prevention and recommend the following reputable sites: Centers for Disease for any concerns about infectious disease or immunizations (www.cdc.gov or www.cdc.gov/vaccines), Texas Poison Control (www.poisoncontrol.org/home or call 1-800-222-1222) and the American Academy of Pediatrics Healthy Children's (www.healthychildrens.org) for any general medical concerns. The website features an app for parents and a KidsDoc Symptom checker.

We use Athena Health electronic medical record system. You will be able to go into the portal, featured on the website, and create an account. This portal will allow you to be able to schedule online appointments (Coming soon!)

We use a secured HIPPA compliant texting platform that will allow you to send messages to the office or the doctor during regular office hours for general information or questions/concerns about your health care. You will be asked to provide consent with your first text message conversation. This is a convenient way to address your medical needs without having to pick up the phone or come into the clinic. 90% of communication with/by Bee Well El Paso Pediatrics is completed by texting for prospective/new patients as well as established patients.

No. We have a general waiting room and extension of the waiting room that is designated a playroom. We strongly believe infection control and will request masks to be worn at the time of check-in, hand washing is implemented and infant/toddlers are to be changed in the patient restroom only. Our facility is clean daily.

We strongly encourage patients to know the coverage your insurance company provides for co-payments, deductibles, preferred lab, and x-ray locations and what services are covered (i.e telemedicine, elective circumcisions, etc). Our service fees will be transparent for self payers and we will work with you to provide the best care that is cost-effective.

May I still be a patient? We will accept 22 insurance carriers from both Texas and New Mexico. If you do not see your carrier, we can consider adding them to our network.

We strongly believe in antibiotic stewardship and will NOT prescribe antibiotics to treat upper respiratory infections caused by a virus.

Yes! With our secured texting, you will be able to directly notify the office by text that you need a refill. Please provide the preferred Pharmacy and allow 24-48 hours to complete your request. All medication ADHD medication refills will need to schedule a follow-up appointment for an evaluation.

Bee Well El Paso Pediatrics El Paso has admitting privileges at El Paso Children's Hospital. If you need hospitalization, the Hospitalist Team will take excellent care of you!

No. We strongly advocate for the prevention of communicable diseases and the protection of those who may be too young or with weaker immune systems by vaccinating!

Si! Somos bilingües, estamos a sus órdenes con cualquier pregunta que tenga. We have a staff that is bilingual and will be with you throughout your entire clinic visit. Our kiosk and website are also in Spanish.

Yes! We reserve the right to terminate the doctor-patient relationship if there is no mutual respect, professionalism, inappropriate behavior or misuse of services.

Yes! We have a reduced fee for your office visits and procedures. We will always be transparent and can provide you the cost upfront.

We can provide a copy of your medical records.  Please allow 48 hours for your request to be received and 10 business days to provide you a complete copy of medical records.  An authorization to release medical records will be sent to you. It will need to be correctly completed, signed and sent back to the clinic before your request will be processed.

Secondary to COVID-19, walk-ins are not accepted at this time. An appointment is required to be seen at Bee Well El Paso Pediatrics.

It's coming! For now, we would like for you to call or text us and we will take care of it for you!

We are using technology to make your check-in experience as hassle-free as possible. You will receive a reminder about your appointment 3 days and 1 day before it's scheduled. After you have confirmed, you can begin the pre-mobile check-in anytime by entering your demographics, scanning your insurance card and driver's license. All of this information gets transferred to the kiosk. Anything you may not have completed on your smartphone may be done upon your arrival. There will be a friendly greeter available to assist you. This in-office kiosk process is paperless, does not involve a front desk and will have you complete in 5-7 minutes and it will be quicker with subsequent visits. Please watch the video on Clearwave or call or text us with any specific questions you may have.

Patients are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will need to reschedule. We understand that circumstances arise (i.e traffic); however, you may TEXT the clinic to inform us you will not be on time.
